24/04/2019 Prof. Laura Turrini (EBS Business School), on "The impact of consolidation hubs on epidemics response supply chains"

We focus on epidemics response supply chains and use system dynamics to model the impact of the logistics distribution structure on programs efficiency and effectiveness. We derive valuable insights for humanitarian operation managers. We use real data from the Ebola response to validate our model.

Laura Turrini is a Junior Professor of Operations Management at EBS Business School. Professor Turrini completed her doctoral studies in the field of Logistics at Kühne Logistics University. In 2009 she graduated in Mathematics in Milan (Italy), with a master thesis regarding voting systems and PageRank, the Google ranking algorithm. She won and held the INdAM (National Institute for High Mathematics, Italy) scholarship for the whole master period. After graduation she gained two years of industry experience, first as IT consultant and from June 2010 to September 2011 as Revenue Management Support in an Italian all cargo airline.
